From New York
Taconic State Parkway north to next to last exit (marked “Last Exit
before Toll – East Chatham/Chatham 295”). Go left at end of exit
ramp to stop sign, then right (east) on 295. Follow 295 to 22
north, then 22 to 43 east (Williamstown). Take 43 to center of
Williamstown, then right on Route 2. Watch for sign “Entering North
Adams.” Proceed .3 mile to Ashton Avenue – left on Ashton to end.
Then right on Massachusetts Avenue (street is not marked, but it is
the street at the end of Ashton). Blackinton Manor is about ¼ mile
on the left at the corner of Church Hill Street.
From Boston via Route 2
west
Follow Route 2 into N. Adams, through the town and over the overpass
bridge. Watch for the Super Stop and Shop on left (about 2-1/2
miles). Then second right onto Ashton Avenue. Follow Ashton to
end. Turn right on Massachusetts Avenue (street is not marked, but
it is the street at the end of Ashton). Blackinton Manor is about ¼
mile on the left at the corner of Church Hill Street.
From Pittsfield / Adams via Route 8
Go over the overpass bridge into North Adams. At the
intersection/light at Main Street, continue straight for two more
lights. Turn left at the second light onto River Street. Follow
River Street – it becomes Massachusetts Avenue, but it is not
marked. Watch for the large white Blackinton Congregational Church
on the right – Blackinton Manor is on your right at the corner of
Church Hill Road (2-1/2 miles from the turn onto River Street in
North Adams).
From Albany Airport, Albany New York
Turn right out of the Airport Parking lot. Turn Right on to Albany
Shaker Road. This leads to NY Route #7. Turn Right on to Route #7
(towards Troy, NY). Follow Route #7 into the city of Troy and
beyond. You will see a sign on your left for Route 278 and to Route
2. Turn Right at this sign (at traffic light). Follow this road till
you intersect NY Route #2. Turn left on to Route#2. Follow this
route over the mountain through the town of Petersburg, NY. This
will lead you into the town limits of Williamstown, MA. Follow Route
#2 till you reach Route # 7 (MA). Turn Left on to MA Route #7. This
will lead you into the town of Williamstown, MA. At the circle, go
half way around (approximately). Turn Right on to MA Route #2 again.
Follow Route #2 into the town limits of North Adams, MA. (Sign will
be on right. Look for the Greylock Animal Hospital on your Right.
Once you see the hospital, look to your left. You will see Ashton
Avenue on your left. At Ashton Avenue, turn Left. This will take
you to Massachusetts Ave. Turn Right on to this road. Go
approximately ½ mile. We are located on the Left-hand side of the
road. You will see our sign. Turn on to Church Hill Street. Our
driveway entrance is on the Left. (You will see the Blackinton Union
Church on your right as you go up the hill)
From Allentown Area/ Scranton Area
Two Options:
1.)
Follow
Interstate 81 North until you reach Binghamton , NY. Follow
Interstate 88 ( NE ) to Albany. This will turn onto Interstate 90 (
New York State Thruway)- Go East towards Albany. Get off at Exit 24
- Route 90 East Follow 90 East until you reach the Thruway again (90
East- Berkshire Extension). Remain on 90 East for 14 miles. Get off
at Exit B-3*. At the end of the exit ramp turn left( Route 22
north). Remain on 22 north until you reach Route 43. Turn right on
43 towards Williamstown, MA. Watch for sign “Entering N. Adams”.
Then .3 mile to Ashton Avenue-left on Ashton to end. Then right on
Massachusetts Avenue( street is not marked, but it is the street at
the end of Ashton ).Blackinton Manor is about ¼ mile on left
2.)
Follow Interstate 80 East into New Jersey. Remain on this route till
you reach Interstate 287 North. Proceed on 287 North till you reach
Route 87 North ( New York State Thruway ) Stay on 7 north till you
reach Mass Pike Exit 21 B. This will still be the Thruway . Get off
at Exit B-3. Follow remaining direction listed directly above
